Analysis of Cakes Baked
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Cakes baked flavored to taste.
With a craving that addicts,
Many to stand in one line.
Awaiting to get their fix of deliciousness.
And none not even one to ask,
For the ingredients.
Or who made the cakes.
How together they were mixed.
Only left to know...
Whatever was making them,
Mentally and physically sick.
Could not have been,
The cake bakers nor the ingredients used.
Or...
What affect the digesting the unknown,
Would have on their immune system.
Toxins in.
Not all come out!
'Toxins?
Hmmm...
What ever that is I love it!'
Since...
The deliciousness kept them addicted.
And craving that fixed,
Had become more important...
Than considering the possibility,
Of being intentionally poisoned.
'Poisoned?
You must be the competition?'
Believe what you wish.
Poisoned.
By cake bakers making bucks.
Caring less who became sick.
As long as they stayed addicted.
And relied upon to return,
Knowing they would bring others...
Not to ask questions.
About anything.
Yet willing to get sick and addicted.
Because the doing of it,
Would leave them craving...
Like everyone else they knew.
Not to ask why or who the bakers were.
'Go away.
For your information,
I just left my doctor.
And I was told...
What ever I ate to do it in moderation.
And I do.
To nibble and chew slowly.'
You're right.
I'm in no position to give medical advice.
'Then...
Why are you here?
Standing in line?'
Hoping to scare away enough people.
So I can pick up a couple of cakes.
It's the holidays.
And besides...
There is nothing like surprising people,
Who are habitual liars and trouble makers.
There is no better way,
To express my gratitude!
'That makes no sense.'
To you?
Or to me?
I'm not addicted.
I can be a little wicked.
But...
I'm not addicted to that either!
Although I must admit,
A wanting to be remembered...
For doing a good deed.
Tell me about it.
I tried everything to get rid of a rat.
But when I discover,
That rat turning my cat into a friend?
I'm not having that! That's it!'
