Analysis of Faith Triumphant
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
By faith, we have been justified,
We have peace with God through the Lord;
Because Jesus was crucified,
As shown the Gospel did record.
Through Him, we have also obtained,
Access by faith into His grace;
In which we stand and have restrained,
From sin that causes us disgrace.
Rejoice in the glory of God,
Rejoice in our suffering;
Suffering as we will applaud,
For Jesus gives us buffering.
For endurance is giving hope,
Which is produced from character;
His love is helping us to cope,
And His Spirit our instructor.
And hope does not put us to shame,
Love from God pours into your heart;
He has given us to proclaim,
Molded in us not to depart.
