Analysis of EGOTISM
Sometimes I just want to scream
So that I can return my life
To when life was uncomplicated
When it was just you and me and the kids
not the other woman
Nor the myriads of events that have
come between us and our marital woes unfold
Those things that have come in between us
indecisions
indecisiveness
delusions
instilled with the fabrications that is our marriage
I want out of them
But I need courage, I need the will
Because it has to begin with me,
The Id
The Ego
The self
All crying out to be heard
Will somebody listen?

About this poem
Again this is one of the poems written about over 30 years ago when I was going through the throes of a marriage breakup but keeping up appearances inspite of the problems I was going through.
