Analysis of The New Man
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
As God’s chosen, loved, and holy,
Compassionate a humbled heart;
Honor God the One and only,
Allowing His Word to impart.
Enduring with one another,
Remember the Lord forgave you;
So always forgive each other,
And be true in all that you do.
Above all these things put on love,
Which binds everything together;
Worshipping the Lord up above,
In harmony as you gather.
Let the peace of Christ rule your heart,
Indeed in one body be called;
Pray and be thankful as you start,
He cleansed you where you had been flawed.
Let the Word of Christ dwell within,
Richly and teaching its wisdom;
To assist in avoiding sin,
Giving access to His Kingdom.
All that you do in word or deed,
Do it all in the name of Christ;
Giving thanks for all that you need,
Not letting you become enticed.
