Analysis of Beggars
Pedestrian: Blind beggars, Young beggar,
Perching with the flies
Your hands in your bowl
Blind beggar, Strong beggar,
Let me heal your eyes
Windows to the soul
And work for your bread.
Beggar: No alms? Then don’t refer-
Leave me alone!
To be blind I prefer
Than to bother my bones.

About this poem
