Analysis of Reflection

Jnanika.U 2007 (Banglore)

Every morning the reflection i prod upon,
Is the collection of feelings I've stacked in a cauldron.
Wanting to be the person full of zealous,
Am merely nothing but, who feels envious

Every stride towards prosperity,
Is nothing but, uncouthing my soul's purity.
The world's displaying happiness is nothing but subtlety,
Of the inevitable dire of cruelty.

Insults, defamation and rejections
Divested me with retrospection.
You are not aware of what you possess
As all you've done till now is to suppress

Unleash yourself from obstinance
And know it's fine to be in dissonance
Just be yourself without perfection
Which is what will lead you to have your own reflection.

About this poem

This poem is an effort made to bring the importance of a person being himself and not trying to fit into the rat race. This also outspeaks my emotions, what I've and am facing in life. This totally just speaks about how I felt and not any derogatory statements made to any kind of instances (even if there have been a few). Thank you.
