Analysis of The staus quo

The world is not all flowers and sunshine
At least not for me
I view it as a dismal and foreboding place
Filled with lies and falsehoods
Broken promises
And unseen dangers

I do not see the good side of man
I see a once great creature
Broken and lost

A great empire
Now an empty shell

A hopeful pursuit
Now a laughable tragedy

I see the powers that be
Corrupted and misguided in their efforts

I don’t see the good of the human race
Its efforts at progress escape me

As does the existence of man
The purpose of trying
Seems fruitless to me

I do not see evolution
I only see the need for
Revolution

They say insanity
Is doing the same thing over and over
And expecting different results

If this is true
Then can someone explain…

The status quo
