Analysis of Crossing Jordan
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Only for you we wait only for you,
Come today Lord Jesus make everything new.
Everything in your time, everything in your way,
I’ll trust in you Jesus as I wait here today.
Now by your blood your will be done,
It is from you Lord that I have come.
You make my horizons so bright and so blue,
You’re the One, the true God, I’ll wait only for you.
I must be slow to anger and slow to speak,
Because it’s only you I seek.
To find myself in your awesome form,
I know that I must be reborn.
Oh, the joy and wonder that I’ll embrace,
As I continue to seek your face.
