Analysis of Unrecognizable

You walk in there, the room silent
You look around and see people
No faces, still just silent
You clench your hands tight and wonder
Can they see me?
Am I that unrecognizable?
No, no this can't be, just breathe
I see me and the person who I am supposed to be
I'll just close my eyes
Maybe then being the same,
Fitting in, will make me more recognizable?
No, I need to open my eyes
They need to see me
They need to know that I'm this person
The person who is me, the me I'm supposed to be
I don't need to fit in
I can be unrecognizable
Suddenly that room becomes loud
You can see the faces of all those people
You show them who you are
Be more unrecognizable

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I have severe anxiety. Sometimes people don't see me for the person I am because of it. Everytime I try hard to prove them wrong I still get knocked down this is a little something i wrote.
