Analysis of Maturate Trials
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
You are never tempted by God,
He tempts no one using evil;
Your own desires make you flawed,
Through temptation by the devil.
Each person is tempted when lured,
Being enticed by desire;
Weakness that cannot be endured,
By a lust that you acquire.
Desire conceived bears a sin,
When fully grown will bring forth death;
Because of lacking discipline,
Evil will come with every breath.
Let yourself never be deceived,
All perfect gifts are from above;
Through your faith that you have received,
His mercy will flow with His love.
It comes from the Father of lights,
Not varied or shadow is cast;
Keeping the Lord within your sights,
Salvation will forever last.
He brought us through the Word of Truth,
And should be a kind of firstfruits;
As taught by them since our youth,
Firmly planted in our roots.
