Analysis of Let me find my way

Why must we hold on
To a love that's faded and gone
When our hearts beat out of sync
And our words no longer link

Why must we pretend
That this love still has no end
When our passion's lost its spark
And we're drifting further apart

So I beg you, my dear
To leave me, don't you fear
For it's better to let go
Than to hold on and never know
