Analysis of Not time for the birds

I can't open my eyes
For the days are too heavy
I wonder only in sleep
Through blurry skies
I cannot feel the embers
Rising into the sky in blessing
Or hear the doors opening
Quietly as I die
I feel not the birds landing
As they shake the ground
Nor touch the lights
That linger with there calm stare
I only fall deeper into sleep
Into my last breath
Into the depths of my confusion
In all of it's truth telling illusion
I have no time for time
No kiss for the gods nor the darkness
Only voided thoughts
The past is past forever
The present sinking down into the earth
The future too far into the future
I am only what I am
