Analysis of Spectrum Complex
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
Work hard, slave away all day
For a paycheck that barely pays
Love lost, a heart in pain
A soul aching for a love to remain
Illness hits hard, the body weak
Sickness lingers, a pain that won't cease
Sadness overwhelms, tears flow
Grief consumes, a loss we know
Lust and desire ignite the flame
Sexual urges we can't contain
A rush of adrenaline, a pleasure to obtain
But the heart remains unfulfilled, a longing to maintain
The human condition, a complex state
Full of emotions we can't escape
Work, love, illness, sickness, sadness, grief, lust, desire, and sex.
A life lived in different shades, a spectrum complex.
