Analysis of Barfly

Barfly, a creature of the night,
Moth to the light of neon signs,
Drifting from bar to bar,
Aimless and without a care.

A regular at every joint,
Known to all the bartenders,
The patron saint of last call,
With a drink in hand, always.

He may be young, or he may be old,
But the barfly's life is for the bold,
For every night is a new adventure,
In the company of drinks and pleasure.

He talks of life, love, and loss,
Between sips of his chosen vice,
And the night wears on and on,
Until the sun breaks the darkness.

For he is a creature of the night,
A free spirit, never chained,
A barfly, in search of the next thrill,
Living life on his own terms.
