Analysis of Rito Blin
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
Magical realism, a world beyond our own
Where myths and legends thrive, and truth is sown
Stories of beings, otherworldly and strange
But are they just tales, or do they truly reign?
Rito Blin, a name whispered with awe
Part Irish, part Asian, part Martian, part jazz player, with a mystical flaw
From a place unknown, Mars or Colorado, perhaps
A being of wisdom, legend, and collapse
Is Rito Blin real, or just a fanciful tale?
Told to young ones, their dreams to regale
A being of magic and wonder, a creature outside of time
Or simply a myth, a figment of imagination in its prime?
But what of the stories, the legends so grand?
The tales of Rito Blin, that echo throughout the land
Of a being who lived in a cabin, hidden from view
Tucked away in the wilderness, with a life that he slew
Some say he's still there, living hard and alone
A being of wonder, his existence still unknown
A part of the world that is hidden from our sight
A mystical realm that captivates with such might
And so we wonder, is Rito Blin a mere story
Or a creature of magic, myth, and glory
A part of our world that we cannot see
A being outside of time, unique and free.
