Analysis of Black Lives Matter

Injustice raging, society screams for change
Abuse of power, police brutality reigns
People of color, discriminated against, always
Cries of anguish, silenced with violence
A system broken, in dire need of reform
Urgent calls for action, in the name of social justice

The fight for justice, a long and arduous change
A call for an end to systemic brutality, norms to reform
Peaceful protests, met with tear gas and violence
The Black Lives Matter movement, a plea for an end to reigns
The hope of change, a beacon through the darkness of injustice
A glimmer of light, in the never-ending fight for always

A constant struggle, against the forces of always
A demand for equality, the heart of social justice
Protests, petitions, and rallies, fighting for change and ending injustice
An end to police brutality, the prize to be won in this game
A call for accountability, and breaking the long-standing reigns
Action, not words, needed now, no more silence, only effort.

Sometimes the only recourse is harsh
Reaching the tipping point, frustrated by always
When those in power refuse to break their reigns
Desperate cries of social justice
Their voices missive, they stridently demand change
They will be silenced no more, they will not suffer injustice

The fight will be long but eventual change will reign
Against all odds, injustice will not always win over social justice
We stand in solidarity, protesting the police brutality and violence.

I understand
That I don't understand.
And that's why I stand.

Together.
And only together,
We can change the world.
