Analysis of Metamorphosis
The caterpillar
spins itself
into another dimension
retreats from our universe
and rearranges itself
molecule by molecule
then returns from its furry home
awakening slowly
glistening with amniotic fluid
smashing down the walls of Jericho surrounding it
emerging triumphant
in winged glory
only to be immediately eaten
by a large carnivorous spider
who just happened to be passing by
on his way to work
