Analysis of Divisive People
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Watch for those who cause divisions,
Detours perverse to the doctrine;
Interpreting their opinions,
Without the needed discipline.
Avoid the teaching they have taught,
Because they are not serving Christ;
Their own appetites have been sought,
Of deceptive hearts, they enticed.
Your righteousness is known to all,
And so I rejoice over you;
That you do not falter or fall,
Because you are faithful and true.
I want you to be wise and good,
Innocent to what is evil;
Living your life the way you should,
Avoiding works of the devil.
The God of peace will crush Satan,
And crushing him under your feet;
The grace of the Lord will straighten,
His crooked path causes his defeat.
