Analysis of Vengeance
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
Vengeance is a tempting game to play,
A fool's errand to find satisfaction.
Instead of finding peace in forgiveness,
We choose to fuel the fire of retaliation.
The cycle of revenge never ends,
Creating wounds that continue to bleed.
The sweetness of revenge is fleeting,
Leaving us with a bitter aftertaste.
Loyalty is the only true victory,
For it is the foundation of true love and trust.
Remaining true to those who matter,
Is the key to building bonds that will never decay.
Refuse the need for revenge,
And embrace the power of loyalty.
It's the only way to live a life well-lived,
Full of love and true prosperity.
