Analysis of Color on the radio

Jessica Emmanuelle Collins 1976 (Gloucester, Mass)

color on the radio

you told me
it would tangle you up in blue
only in the purple rain
You just have to wait
can’t hurry...
It’s just a touch of grey
yes it’s alright
but I believed her when she said
they would be shining through
PINK just give me a reason
cause that’s where you’ll find me
said Dorothy
I should have listened to Elton
cause
i even went to
hollywood and redwood
I crossed all along the mountain tops
Do you know the way to....
get your kicks on route 66
it just goes back to black
and then
they call it mellow yellow
where’s that
Cause it’s a long and winded road
and the grass is always greener
yes
I wanted to make them blue
my brown- eyed girl
listen
video killed the radio star
mamma said
so what if
it’s just unseen
cause it ain’t easy being green
a forgotten sound
kissing you through the bars of a rhyme
didn’t we almost have it all
the leaves are brown
and the nights are white satin
girls don’t wear blue velvet anymore
tie a yellow ribbon
cause the war is never over
what is it good for
Nothing
compares to you
cause in my life I loved you more
imagine all the people
heard
with
red roses too
for me and you
baby come back
I bet Beethoven knows
you know what I mean
philosophy
clearwater seen
In a landslide
I’ll say it clear
planet earth is blue and there is nothing I can do
Stop right there before you go any further
Say
I did it my way
SOMEWHERE
It ain’t OVER till it’s over
why are there so many songs about
RAINBOWS
