Analysis of Ranger, A Friend for Life
Your friendship meant so much to him
That he would always do
All things you asked as best he could
Without rewards from you,
Because to him your friendship was
Reward enough each day,
Which was the only thing he hoped
To have a long life's way.
He never took advantage of
The love he saw you show,
Instead, he gave devotion to
The friend he came to know!
