Analysis of The Rise Of Magic
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
The rise of magic
Came like a thief,
Stealing away
Our disbelief
With its elusive might.
The world
Was transformed
By its mystical glow,
And before we knew it,
It had us all.
Society
Was marveled
And awestruck,
At the power
Of its spellbinding luck.
The world
Became a stage
For the unknown,
And magic
Had claimed
Its rightful authority.
But in the midst
Of the wonder
And awe,
Doubt crept in
Like a chilling dissolve.
Was this magic real,
Or merely a trick,
A deception
To make us all confined?
It was too late
To turn back now,
The rise of magic
Had taken its flecture.
We were all swept
Up in its anguish,
Lost
In the enchantment
Of its glorious shows.
