Analysis of Last Name

Kimberly Tenold 2008 (Missouri)

I find the rain comforting like your voice
The sun blinding but not like your smile
The blues of the skies can't even compare to your eyes
These tight fitting clothes that I wish I could lose on your floor
So I can be wrapped in your arms telling you how I want more
The light touches of something so innocent
Something that I'm bound to lose
The safety I feel in the presence of that someone, that is you
Listening to songs much like the ones my heart sings
With you the rhythm could never match the blues
Because I want you to settle me down
So we can build each other up
Much like the home I hope we share
The same as so many things, I can't wait to take your last name
