Analysis of Unheard Melodies
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
With the weight
Of unfinished melodies
Soul's echoes
Trapped
Within hearts.
And as their breath
Whispers through
The cracks of existence
The universe hums
A forgotten rhythm.
Each note holds
A story untold,
A symphony
Lost in the depths
Of unsung words.
They dance
Between shadows
In the empty
Corridors
Of unfulfilled dreams.
While the world
Spins
In its oblivious stride,
They drown
In the silence.
Their cries echo
In the stillness
Of starless nights.
The symphony they never wrote
Fades into obscurity.
Yet, in every fallen tear
There lies a melody
Aching to be released
From the prison
Of quiet desperation.
