Analysis of To Shed Tears



I've never cried over my own grief, despair, or problems.
I've never let myself.
Couldn't, anyways, I don't need to. I think.
Only ever cried for other people's sorrow or loss.
Or because of what someone else is dealing with.

I think I'm too ashamed of the fact that I even feel.
I've never understood why, I still don't.
Can't cry for myself, I don't believe I'm allowed to.
Oh, I need to, though.
One day, maybe I'll let myself.
