Analysis of FAMILY AND FRIENDS
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
People from my past keep calling me as if they just befriended me today, saying the words that they think I want to hear, telling me it feels like I lost my brother and that I am losing a family member. All I can say is we are not from the same tree.
These same people who say they miss me like the abused miss their abusers knew all my weaknesses, used them against me, and then wondered why I am so guarded and unreachable. The loss was a lesson that was not so quickly teachable, but it opened my eyes to many lies.
I now know who walks by my side, and when times get hard, like a horny virgin teenager, a boy's erection goes and hides. Sometimes life is supposed to fuck you without lube, not those you call family and friends.
