कैसे कहें कि दोस्त नहीं ये किताबें
लेती कुछ नहीं मगर देती है किताबें,
लिखना सिखाती ये किताबें,
बोलना सिखाती ये किताबें।
कैसे कहें कि दोस्त नहीं ये किताबें …..
पाठकों को पढाती में किताबें,
युवाओं को सिखाती ये किताबें,
और लेखकों से लिखवाती ये किताबें।
कैसे कहें कि दोस्त नहीं ये किताबें …..
अनेक भाषाएँ सिखाती ये किताबें,
अनेक कहानियाँ सुनाती ये किताबें,
बच्चों में मनोरंजन बढ़ाती ये किताबें।
कैसे कहें कि दोस्त नहीं ये किताबें …..
इतिहास को बताती ये किताबें,
जीवन जीना सिखाती ये किताबें,
लेखकों के बारे में बताती ये किताबें।

About this poem
यह कविता मैनें हमारी युवा पीढ़ी को देखते हुए लिखी कि युवा वर्ग आधुनिक युग में किताबें न पढ़कर मोबाइल, इंटरनेट आदि पर अपना समय बर्बाद कर देते हैं इसलिए लेखक ने युवा पीढ़ी को किताबें पढ़ने के बारे में जागरूक करवाया है।
