Analysis of MY TRUTH
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
Speak with passion. Speak with the truth. No matter what it is, spinning those lies that hold you down will never allow you to be. Please do not raise your voice, use those words of choice, do not give into their foolish ways that put the look of anger on your face, do not allow them to erase the peace that you hold, do not go and hide you have a story to be told.
I worked too hard and spilled too much blood and sweat. I lost myself trying to please. But the machine noticed it could never bring me to my knees, for I do everything with love and no regret.
I am wearing my working man's clothes I do not need to wear my ten-dollar suit at a table behind closed doors, trying to find a solution to why the people they call. The heart of America is asking for more of the shit they sell, and why do we walk out with our middle fingers screaming go to hell.
I heard so many times before that there will be times when people will walk beside you, and there will be those times when they will throw you under the bus. I heard you must learn to pick your battles to win the war. well I guess I might have been wrong because I have been through many of both, yet I am on that train speaking my damn truth
