Analysis of Take the thorns from the heart of my brother

Take the thorns from the heart of my brother
Change the stony ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so it's not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

The seed is the word of God
Our job is to plant fields of the heart
For the fields are ripe with harvest
But the laborers they are few
Take the thorns from the heart of my brother

Take the thorns from the heart of my brother
Change the stoney ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

There are those who sow seed
Others job is to reap
But where are the ones who's job is to tend the seed
Oh brother where are they

Take the thorns from the heart of my brother
Change the stoney ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

There's a world out there full of darkness
And we hold the cure for every man
If we'll share of his grace more lives might be changed
Take the thorns from the heart of my brother

Take the thorns from the heart of my brother
Change the stoney ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

There's a world out there lost and dying
And we won't mention his name
Are we ashamed to tell about Jesus name to this lost and dying world today

Take the thorns from the heart my brother
Change the stoney ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

At an alter many will find forgiveness
But on a street corner they can do the same
For Jesus is where his people are
And he can change
 there hearts today

Take the thorns from the heart of my brother
Change the stoney ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

Jesus holds the key to our salvation
He's always there night and day
He loves without condition now we must do the same
Take the thorns from the heart of my brother

Take the thorns from the heart of my brother
Change the stoney ground into clay
Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day

Bury the seed in the ground so its not scorched by the sun
Keep the seed that it may grow one day
