Analysis of I Am The American Flag

I Am the American Flag!
By Joseph Taylor

Some call me “Old Glory”, others call me, “Star Spangled Banner”,
Some fly me in front of their house, in such a manner.
I have thirteen stripes, some are red, and some are white,
They represent the thirteen colonies that won the fight.

And I also bare fifty stars, that stand for the States,
I do have a lot of American history to commemorate.
I am not just a piece of cloth to be hung, waved, or worn,
I am a symbol of this great nation, which was once adorned.

But, somehow, America has lost its spark it once had,
Which makes me and my colors truly sad.
I want to stand for a Godly nation once more,
No more riots please, and no more war.

Wave me in front of your home; wave me in your hand,
Hold to the laws, both in the Bible and the laws of the land.
I am the American flag, both faithful and true,
The “Star Spangled Banner”, red, white and blue.
