Analysis of Unseen Encroachment

Jamie Tierney 1991 (Cardiff)

Mental shackled only feels through the tips of thumb,
Walking with head bowed down not realising their numb,
Missed opportunities of being within the moment;
Addicting fleeting fixation that causes soul to lament, replacing natural environmental engagement.

Wonders unfold in many forms, connecting with the eyes of potential lover,
Absorbing the geometrical beauty of that flower,
Butterfly’s bobbing and weaving to annoy engrossed bird,
Listening to whispers between trees or that white feather falling downward.

Desire only to distract themselves to avoid introspection,
External forces disengaging minds, by unrelenting emotional affrontation;
Bombardment of violence and sexualisation that eventually desensitise,
Enticing young minds to present and project intimate-selves solely to monetise.

But a world full of deaden souls surely is the way,
Lacklustre connections, never feeling fulfilment is all we must pay;
Children of new generations being shaped by the emotionless,
Learning to tolerate encroachment while our spirit embodying illness.

Indirect attacks upon vitality, manipulating our natural and social energy,
Assuring their achievement of energy dominance absolutely;
Entrapment in protective shells and artificial wombs,
Feeling warm, safe until turning into disabling cold tombs.

Those whom are suffering from the silent warfare,
As the long days turn to long years of despair;
Find comfort that you are seen fully, shall soon become free,
Divine love surround your being leading to eternal liberty.
