Analysis of August 30/23 6:49 PM

I have never missed anyone in the exact way I miss you
I always thought people were overreacting when they claimed their lives changed after someone they loved left
it seemed like such an exaggeration
but then you left me
the sun continues to shine
the birds do still sing from outside my window
everything looks pretty much the same
but there’s something off
there is a missing piece
like a puzzle that’s incomplete
that no amount of small pieces could fill
