Analysis of A Soft Distinction

The Devil seldom will attempt
To motivate a sin
Directly since it's obvious
And does not often win.

Instead, he often will deceive
Us with a reason that
Will not appear to be sinful
But seems the right format.

Sometimes he tries to get us to
Do good things that are for
A reason that is not so good
And never was before.

He also tries to do some things
That gets us to do wrong
Things for a reason that seems good.
The Devil's favorite song!

We must be strong in faith to know
When Satin is "around"
By reading Scripture and to pray
Our victory is found!
