Analysis of new year

heather coffey 1967 (michigan)

as the day is long,
this new year comes along,
to try our patience,
to need maintenance.

we don't know,
who we are,
there is so much to do,
so much is new.

so do this again,
and be my friend,
on the mend,
just pretend.

happy new year,
just to be clear,
you and me,
forever free.
