Analysis of Treasures of the nether seas.

When the sun rose, a voice called me
So sweet and kind, which invited me to the sea.
Promising me happiness and endless treasures,
That hide within the waters of the wet nether.

I drown in waves of passion as I look into your eyes,
Green like the ocean and me hypnotize
And I'm blessed as I see your beautiful face, of an angel in disguise.
The day is enchanted when you unfurl your tender smile
And your loving gaze can cure all ailment that is vile.

You are a treasure that no man can ever hold
For like a jewel, your eyes gleam, and your hair shines like gold.
You might speak Dutch and I am English
Yet I wish that one day, our hearts shall know the same feelings.
Was I blessed to encounter a wight so divine?
Or am I merely intoxicated by the wine?

Your heart harbors kindness in which I wish to bask
And your life is a secret, which I long to unmask.
It is your flaws that I am willing to bear
For no yoke is heavy with you in a future so fair.
Even when your ill heart will fade
For you, I will always guard a safe place.

About this poem

I have written this poem, based on a Dutch model whom I dote on. I compare her to a treasure trove in the deep sea that no man could ever hold, and call it "nether" as for Netherlands. But of course, nothing is perfect, and she also has a stark flaw - a defective heart. Which is why I mention a fading heart.
