Analysis of The lucky dead
Kelley Davies 1983 (Dallas)
I wish I was one of them
I wish I would perish
My life has lost all meaning
It is pure tragedy
I go to bed dreaming of death
And loathe waking up in the morning
Maybe this is because of the ways I've hurt others
Maybe it's a mental illness
Whatever it is, I don't belong here anymore and I just want to go home
Where someone would show me mercy and forgiveness
Like Jesus, who attracts me, the ultimate guru and spiritual master
God I want to go home
This planet is so violent, the people are so hostile
Gravity holds me down
I miss my family
