Analysis of Zion be Glory
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Arise and shine has come your light,
Glory of the Lord has risen;
The future glory shining bright,
For guiding you into Heaven.
Darkness shall cover over earth,
Upon the people, thick darkness;
But the Lord will show your true worth,
Releasing your sinful starkness.
His glory will shine upon you.
Kingdoms shall come unto your light;
Kings to the brightness that is true,
Stop doing wrong by doing right.
Lift your eyes all around and see,
Sons and daughters start to gather;
They have come from afar to be,
To worship the Lord together.
You shall see to be radiant,
Your heart shall exult and thrill;
People will be obedient,
For the glory of Israel.
Abundance of the sea shall turn,
As the nations shall build their wealth,
And the people able to earn,
Because the Lord gives them good health.
Come a multitude of camels,
Bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Escorted by other mammals,
That were covered with heavy fur.
For they shall be praising the Lord,
Since they are bringing the good news;
Because He is loved and adored,
From iniquities He rescues.
All of the flocks shall be gathered,
As the rams shall then minister;
Evil on earth shall be shattered,
A glorified house shall be stirred.
