Analysis of Clever Boy

1.  Boy, it was your initiative,

Something I kept inside.

Stories you told me about her

Twisted my hate with a knife.

2.Lies you spew to keep me close,

While you called her your rose.

It took a whole lifetime; I finally realized

That I was just a back-up plan,

A sick thought you and her devised,

Someone you just couldn't stand

3. In a bid to let her have some fun with other boys.

You said I was in your heart yet

Saved her contact as "Emergency",

Blocked me at pass three.

Never thought I was clever.

Guess I was right—

I should have seen this coming

Since you kissed her on our wedding night.

6. In the arms of my one true love, realize that ours was just my goddamn flaw
