Analysis of Mental Health Captive
My own mind
Envelops me with lies
Never ending intrusive thoughts and
Traumatic memories
Always linger to remind
Life takes no prisoners
Hungrily searching for
Eternal escape
Anxiety peaks behind
Locked doors and poor treatment
Time ticks slowly here
Healthcare at its “best”
Captive of the state
Always watched, less than human
Pain sears in my mind and reality
Turning point, will it come?
Injustice, anger, sadness
Victim of a broken system
Everyone beware.
