Analysis of Thanksgiving Victory
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Oh, give thanks unto the Lord,
Because of His steadfast love;
Forever His love endured,
As it flows down from above.
His love endures forever,
For a love that is steadfast;
A love that will not sever,
Because it will ever last.
Let the ones who fear the Lord,
Receive of His steadfast love;
For He has loved and adored,
As mutually thereof.
He is called out of distress,
He responds to set me free;
No longer under duress,
In a spacious place I see.
For the Lord is on my side,
What can man do unto me?
I won’t fear as I abide,
Praising Him on bended knee.
The Lord will render His aid,
Triumphant over my foes;
With Him I am not afraid,
Their wish, He already knows.
