Analysis of An Undeserved Suffering
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Now who is there to harm you,
If zealous for what is good;
Righteousness that you pursue,
For blessings flow from above.
Have no fear nor be troubled,
For your heart honors the Lord;
Let not worries be doubled,
If you let Christ be ignored.
Be prepared for a defense,
If someone asks about hope;
Take it not as an offense,
Another trying to cope.
Gently do it with respect,
With having a good conscience;
When you are slandered, reject,
Bad conduct and show patience.
It is better to suffer,
By doing what is good;
Because Christ is your buffer,
In doing what Jesus would.
Christ had suffered once for sin,
And the just for the unjust;
That His Spirit enters in,
To help you learn how to trust.
