Analysis of Five minutes

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

I've said so many things
In so many different ways
With thoughts that lead to dreams
Of dreams left in the hays
I check how life is going
Through these invisible days
In these five minute reviews
Where i'm still here in this play
I see myself so clearly
In this ever complex stay
One moment will be my last
Five minutes of crazy
Meaning is getting deeper
While little seems to be laid
I wish i prayed more frequently
Or meditated 'till I felt okay
The true me was here five minutes ago
And I let her slip away
