Analysis of Fro Genesis to Covid 19

The Bible says
Our planet Earth
Was formless, empty and dark

The day by day account
Of creation is for everyone to see
The wonders of thy making

He spoke into existence
A planet in perfect shape,
The most beautiful and whole

He created day and night
Dry ground we call land
Separated land from waters

The sun, moon, and stars
To light our planet
To divide day and night
Marking seasons, days and years

Creatures of the seas
And winged birds followed
Blessing them to multiply
And fill the waters and sky with life

On day 6, the final day
He filled the earth with animals
Of every size and shape
And found it was good

The cherry on top he thought
Was man and woman
In his own very image.
Of all, we were his pride

Thou blessed us
Giving us every creature
The whole earth to rule over
Care for and multiply

On day 7 he rested
Blessing his creation
And saw everything good
And blessed the abundance

The story clearly shows
God enjoyed his work
And he wants us do the same
Keeping our planet unique

Whether it’s our job, hobby
Or service to others
He wanted us to enjoy
And live a blessed life

It’s many millenniums hence
The seed of hate
Sown by Satan in Adam and Eve
Has gripped us so tight

We invented religions
To call to mind our creator
To take solace in trouble
And praise him for his grace

We traded things
Exchanging and sharing
What we had
But then, we thought up money

Money and religion
Over the centuries
Have turned the tables on us
Stifling and choking us

Greed and Hate have gripped us so bad
It’s impossible to lift the burden!
The seed of divide had been sown
Spreading like wildfire

People find reason to hate
Love and kindness are words
That’s almost out of mind
Now, we use them seldom

With money we clamor
For power, name and fame
We use religion to enforce
The system of hate and part

The world the almighty forged
So stunning and bright
Was turned by greed and ego
To a hell hole of fight and pain

The crack advanced far and wide
With the dawn of nations
We turned out weapons
Nations went to war

The thought of
Sharing and caring was lost
We began living to fight
To hate and spill blood

Fuelled by engines of greed and hate
Now, we live in a world
Of war, terror and disease
In constant fear of death

We killed millions of our own
Let alone other kinds
Whom we use not for good
But oft for pleasure

Mother Nature many a time
Tried to teach us lessons
So we look for pardon
And depart from our faults

Although we learnt
A lesson or two
From floods and quakes
These were but fleeting

We were quick enough
To turn back into deadheads
Alas, today we are synonyms of
Greed and Hate

Over millions of years
We observe nature has found
Unique ways to clear the clutter
Things that not form its whole

From Dinosaurs to Neanderthals
Nature is replete with decimating
Species that don’t comply
And has always found its balance

After many a warning
It’s sad to say
We haven’t learnt
To stay out of greed, in unity

It’s finally come to Covid-19
A virus that’s not nature’s work
Spreading only from human to human
It has spared other creatures

Is this lesson enough
To bury the trifles
Unite once and for all
And prise our nearly sealed coffins

To beat a virus more perilous
Of greed and hate?
If yes, mother Earth will keep us
So we care and prosper

TOGETHER WE CAN
