Analysis of The Forbidden Door
Jennifer Schneider 1981
A temporary feeling has led me to open
The forbidden door.
The opportunity arises to do what I
Had done before.
Contemplating on the many thoughts that seem
To cloud my mind,
Giving into the temptations of doing what has
Made me blind.
Ashamed with myself for doing what I’d promised
I wouldn’t do.
It brought back all the bad memories that I’ve
Had gone through.
The one thing that caused my life to change in
Ways that I did not understand,
Is the same exact thing that is now laying in
The palm of my hand.
Opening the forbidden door had led me to a
Whole other place.
A place I never shouldn’t have entered,
that I now have to face.
