Analysis of The Loss In Love

Jase Lucero Pinski 2003 (Great Falls)

The loss in love
There’s one thing in love I can’t understand
While one plane stays up the other will land
When love starts for one it will never end
And for the broken heart … nothing can mend
For some love is real while others it’s just pretend
It’s either being together or denying a friend
Sadness till the end

I was happy being with you
My world ended when I lost that to

As you were on your deathbed I said I love you forever
You said you’re dying but I said never
As you lay dying there
I ran my hands through your hair
You left me like you didn’t care
Life isn’t close to fair

My life changed a lot
I lost every fight I fought
For what is now a whimper used to be a roar
The land I walk on now above I used to soar
What was once a legend is now folklore
Now I’m an apple without a core
