Analysis of Endless

One step forward
And five steps back
Because I don't know what I'm heading toward
By my luck its something that will attack
Dragging my feet through the quicksand
Burning up in the purgatory
Trying to find a place to land
Where I can forget all about my story
Oh do you even know
What its like to live
Feeling like scarecrow
And give
All that you have left
Hoping it will fill
The hole they left
The door is locked
I'm pulling as hard as I can
How did I get this fucked
Nothing's going according to plan
The best years of my life
Ruined by this invisible cage
I was trying to survive
In a fight that was never mine to wage
