Analysis of To Break Free

How do we continue to feign a countenance for untarnished youth,
the pure or ignorant in mind and soul?
-A spring within the forest.

Do we continue to deny our lust to corrupt it?
-Surrounded by shedding dogwood.

Could it be that we are ashamed of ourselves,
a threat to our repletion?
-Three stepping pools.

That their frank judgement threatens that in which we stake our survival?
-A mist accompanying each.

Are we all orphaned minds stabbed by absent eyes?
-One sweet, one foul, and one beguiling.

Can we fast and step back?
-Down falls a fresh and full blossom.

Without faith, in careless oblivion?
-Landing gracefully within the foul fog.

To make a meal out of battered souls?
-It’s bright hue a flicker in the murk.

Giving up all power to the unknown?
-Ripples motion apart rotting congregants.

Or can we grasp at the remnants of innocence?
-A doe breaks through to drink.

To sanctify a treaty?
-Its twitching nose guiding toward a sweet bath.

To earn acknowledgment?
-Indulging and flooding her mouth.

To put down our wicked sheers?
-A sharp sneeze breaking up the mist.

To wipe off crumbs of generations past?
-Deceptive white dew catching its eye.

To wade through the dark?
-Her curious snout eager to taste.

To build an alter to a newborn set free?
-She eases the bloom toward fresher water.

To watch a world in chaos?
-Her snout entranced and circulating the pool.

To  writhe at every fall?
-Her nape loose, she marks her snack.

To fall at every torment?
-It meets her nose and crests atop.

To carve wretch into our wrists?
-A stream appears.

To break in awe as the door opens?
-To love and honor a stranger?

To gasp as they walk through?
-She grants reprieve, to watch light flee her wrath.
