Analysis of Wrote My Way Out Of A Psychological Divot

Jordan Murphy 1990 (New Bern, North Carolina)

This is mine and mine alone,
My therapy to help me along.
I share with you, so you understand,
My psych and my mind, up close and firsthand.

This is hard for me, if you're unable to tell,
When my turmoil/agony is a true living hell.
I can't explain, nor can I deny,
The help that comes from putting my pain in rhyme.

It's my therapy, I hope you realize,
It doesn't bother me if you can't sympathize.
I have people who love me, gotta keep moving on, Honestly, without your support, I'd be dead and gone.

Now don't get it twisted, I wanna live a long life, No matter the obstacles, no matter the strife.
God still has a plan, I'm starting to see gain,
He's places His Spirit upon me, no suffering in vain.
