Analysis of Do You Really Know Me
Do you really know me
What is it that you know
Do you know my hearts desire
Or only what I show.
Do you really see me
For who I really am
Or only what you want to see
Please tell me if you can.
Do you know my soul
I doubt that very much
The soul is so well hidden
From the human touch.
What is it that you see
When you look into my eyes
Compassion, love or kindness
Laughter, tears or lies.
There are many layers
And most don't delve that deep
Outwardly, we're smiling
While inwardly we weep.
