Analysis of Fractured Dreams
Fractured Vertebra without a mentio
A diagnosis forever enamored in infamy
An injury that left me in emotional lingo
Football aspirations now spiraled into self misery
All it took was one lift of the weights
Lifetime of hard work was rendered in vein
Days accompanied by back ache and tear filled nights
A four year olds' dreams drove a grown man insane
NFL dreams were now another source of life's nightmare
Football, my sanctuary, opened up to realities quandaries
Another shortcoming sent me into deep depths of despair
Made me doubt my existence in sad self inquires
The thought of the NFL once made me gleam
But a fractured vertebra, fractured my dream
